Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waters I have had several pet ate waters. Over the years and pet ate has always been a fantastic product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage Bought two of these big 2.5l dishes from our local pet store only to discover to doesn’t dispense water. There’s definitely a design flaw with these and I wish petmate would look at all these reviews and do something about the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best Pet waterer on the market with filter I’ve used this before, but cracked my old bowl and replaced it with one that had a narrow neck. It made it impossible to clean the algae out of it and was hard to put in the base.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful! Can’t open to fill! Nearly impossible to open and refill. Terrible design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from does not work -- 4 gal waterer The 4 gallon waterer does not work. Design flaw does not allow the water bowl to fill more than 1/2 inch as the bottom of the container is to close to the bottom of the reservoir. Needs sit higher for the bowl to fill properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for I've had this item for a few years now and it's held up great

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as intended! I own 3 I own 3 of the Petmate Replendish, (2) of the 1 gal & (1) of the 0.5 gal for my 3 cats. I love the Peacock Blue color & the the fact that they have filters. Easy to use, easy to clean and sufficient water flow. The bottle twist-locks in place. I don’t understand the reviews of people not being able to remove the bottle, I’ve never had a problem and like that it secures in place. The bottom tray portion is top-rack dishwasher safe but the bottle itself has to be hand-washed. Very happy with my purchases!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I bought this about a month ago and am so disappointed in it. The water level in the bowl does not go over about a quarter inch deep. While that is ok for my little kitties, my 65 lb dog is unable to get his tongue deep enough to pick up the water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so great This one doesn't flow it stays at the same level. Now the water has turned color also the filter is greenish. How can you help to correct this issue. I followed all directions still now working

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ample Supply for Multiple Cats (large Tank) Although the reservoir can be difficult to remove without marking the reservoir, marking the reservoir where the tank fits over the locking tabs on the base makes the task much easier to remove. Rotating the reservoir in either direction engages the tabs and keeps the reservoir in place.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from meh, its fine we have 2 of these, they work. the plastic top is not well attached to the bottom of the bowl. the tank is hard to separate from the bottom but it does hold a lot of water, and we have 3 large dogs that drink a lot of water. not many other options out there for this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can get my hand inside to clean it. This unit replaced a different type that I had for about 2. The old one could not be placed outside -- algae. The waterer I purchased did have instructions. I found it easy to assemble and use (for my dog - that is). The filter was a pleasant surprise. A bit pesky to open though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to remove bottle first time I've had a Replendish Waterer in the past and had no issues. However, the one I bought just an hour ago will not disassemble for it's first time use. Very disappointing...especially since there are multiple reviews with the same feedback.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not working I bought this waterer and it worked fine and I bought the replacement filters and put the filter strap back on and now it barely feeds water into the bowl. Any suggestions?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome!!!! I bought 2 one for garage and one for upstairs works great for my 3 Goldens

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor drainage Bought the large petmate for my Doberman. It has poor drainage. Meaning I fill it either half way or full and the water seems to always be stuck. It doesn't fill the bowl part. I even took the filter out thinking it would help. Nope! This product is cheap. Wish I could get my $ back!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's a cheap piece of useless plastic. You can't get it open, I would add a picture/video but the cheap piece of useless plastic is in the trash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had mine for 5 years and it works great! Is it perfect? no. but it does a great job for my 3 large dogs. I have used it for 5 years with no issues. Here is a tip for those that have issues with getting the bottle off the base. Once you have it off the base, take some duct tape or marker and mark on the base where the notch is located. do the same on the bottle where the notch is located. Now you know exactly where it needs to line up to remove the bottle from the base. It can be a little bit of a challenge at first lifting and putting the full 4 gallon bottle on the base but you get use to it eventually.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect little gravity water feeder Love the flat bottom that seals into the top. No more having to clean every few months for mold/mildew because of leaks into the interior. Can understand why some would have issues, as you can insert the bottle and turn either clockwise or counter, but this is not a hard thing to deal with, just turn a single direction until it locks. It will spill a little bit when turning over (still spills less than a puggle). Works just as well with filter in or out. We have a small one of these for the office/dog run (0.5 Gal) and a large one for the dining room/feeding area (2 Gal). Neither of the medium (30-50 Lbs) dogs have an issue with drinking from them. End result is: easy to clean, easy to fill/refill, very resilient to mold issues due to no interior compartments prone to accidental flooding.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good We've had this dog bowl for a while and it finally broke, I gave it a 3 only because the piece that broke you can't buy a replacement for so now I have to buy a whole new one... otherwise it would get a 4.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with lack of written instructions I had to call the company in Arlington, TX to get explicit instructions about the filterer inside the black bottom of the device. I had been using the waterer for over a month and did not know that the plastic needed to come off the filter itself. Moreover, there were no instructions that was the plastic had to be removed or how often it should be replaced. A very nice sales rep told me to change it every six to eight weeks. Before the first use--remove plastic and rinse the filter throughly to remove excess charcoal. The consumer has to do more education then the company that makes the profit. My pet stools had changed and now I think it because the plastic hadn't been taken off the filter and it was his only water source.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it I bought the large 4 gallon a month ago and I only need to fill and clean once a week unless super hot. Deep enough for large dogs and low enough for small cats. Yes moving 4 gallons of water without a handle is a pain but so is refilling a 1 gallon every day because it did not lock on and when it got low it would get knock off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great... But. Does the bottom half come apart??? It looks as if it is meant to and i cant wash off all of the slime growing on the inside. Its a little unhygienic. Does anyone know??? Other than thag we have had these for a while now and i love them

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Water turns green Hi, put this great Petmate Replendish Gravity Waterer w/ Microban by Petmate out in the yard for the neighborhood cats. I have been changing the water regularly because although it's no where near empty, it turn green in the tank. Any suggestions? I thought I could fill it only when needed but it needs more maintenance than expected :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple a little tricky, but solid. Bought this and my 9yo son filled it up and gave it to the dogs. The filter floated to the top so I tried taking it appart. Took me about 5 minutes. ***the key was I had to turn the tank upside down, stuck my hand in there and grasp the black lid that Is on the water tank. And turn it until I popped it off. Very solid build/materials compared to what I've got before. This one will probably last me 4 years... if no one drops it. I've got to say it isn't fair to rate this product low because you can't bear the weight of a full tank. That comes with the territory of being a big dog owner (how do you carry the food if you can't handle this?). I am not a fan of the charcoal filter needing replacement after a couple months. I'll ditch the filter and gladly keep this sturdy product. Instructions would have been nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the concep but just too much wrong with it When the 4 gallon is full, it's very difficult to refill without making a mess on the kitchen floor. The water also fills up to the very edge of the bowl, leaving water everywhere when the dogs drink. I would have thought the water would fill at least 2" below the edge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for our pup . . . . . . and easy for us to provide a contiuous water supply for her. No more daily water bowl washings and no spill unless the entire unit gets overturned. My only recommendation would be to put a notice on the refill packages about the need to remove the plastic cover on the filter. It's easy to think all one has to do is remove the old and pop a new one in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The filter is useless I followed instruction....even tho there are almost none! When I went to put the water jug in the holder, the filter popped out and just floated around in the water. They have to come up with a much better way to keep the filter in place. Very poor design. Also it's very hard to get the plastic off the filter without breaking it. Petmate can contact me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my Boys! "Downsized" my dogs after the loss of my last Greyhound. It's PERFECT for the Cavalier Boys, but would be small for larger dogs. Well constructed, easy to operate, and the filter is a great idea.
Date published: 2017-03-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't get the jug off the bowl. So after reading several reviews I seem to have a bad assembler. No matter how hard I try I cannot get the jug off the bowl. Upon inspecting the locking track inside it would appear my jug got shoved on the bowl and the to two tabs that hold the jug to the bowl are actually trapped in the part of the jug thread where there no gap to release it. Very angry and frustrated right now.
