Works, but is a bit of a ripoff.
It definitely has helped stop her barking. However, it ran out after no more than ten activations.

Cartridges Run Out SO FAST
We just bought an "updated" spray collar w/ remote last week. Our old one quit working a long time ago but now we have a new 2 year-old rescue girl who LOVES barking. I do not believe shock collars should be used for any reason but I have found spray deterrents to work well in the past as an aid in training. Anyway, the cartridges for our old collar would easily provide 200-300 sprays. This new collar gave us 8 or 9 sprays with the included cartridge. Yes, that is all.
We thought maybe the collar came with some little 'tester' cartridge that wasn't meant to last. That upset us in the first place since the new collar cost so much. We bought this 3-pack thinking these cartridges would be like our old ones and give us the 200+ sprays per cartridge. Wrong again. Our rescue pup is a super sweet girl and the collar we have doesn't have an 'auto' function - we have to manually press the remote to "spray her" to discourage her barking. I mention her sweetness so people don't think she is a guard dog barking all day and night or the collar is an automatic collar going off every 2 minutes.
To recap, the cartridge that came with the collar didn't last at all. The replacement cartridge we put in didn't seem to last long either but neither my wife or I counted so couldn't be sure how many sprays we got. We estimated 15 sprays (her: 4-5 sprays / me: 10) but wanted to be sure. As such, I replaced the empty replacement cartridge with a THIRD ONE THIS WEEK. I put it in early yesterday and counted carefully. My wife has been working so it was just me with our girl and I only got 12 sprays before I put her collar back on before going outside again tonight, turned it on and it beeped at me that it was empty. I tried spraying to see if anything came out and nothing. I tried powering off and on again and the same thing over & over -- cartridge empty signal. Grrrrr!!
We will be returning the collar (and hopefully the empty overpriced cartridges that we purchased) because at this rate, it is a hugely wasteful product.

Works great, but is expensive to use!
The initial cartridge lasted a day, second cartridge lasted the same. I’m on the 3rd cartridge and I only had 5 to begin with! It does work, dogs are quite but it certainly does NOT have 30-35 sprays in the cartridge. Maybe 5-7 sprays. I leave it on when it shows orange, that it’s empty, and just knowing that it could spray, keeps them quiet. So it’s working, but once they realize that they can bark and not get sprayed, they’ll bark. So I’ll need to replace the cartridge.

Cartridges run out - very costly
I agree with all the reviews here about the cartridges running out. I too have done everything to ensure the bark collar is fastened securely. The spray works, but runs out way too quickly and we cannot afford to be replacing every couple of days. Please come up with a way to either refill the cartridges or reduce the price. The old bark collar I had that worked with the spray was much much better.

My dog outsmarted the engineers
My dog knows when the spray goes off so he changes the way he barks when the collar is on. He's worked out that making high pitched single barks does not make the collar go off

Cartridges ran out after 10-15 sprays
I bought the rechargeable bark collar and it works great. BUT these cartridges never last longer than 10 to 15sprays. every review I've read says that, so PetSafe: it is NOT very unusual. it is so wasteful and costly. I paid CAD109 for the collar and the cartridges are CAD21 for a 3pack. My dog goes thru 1 cartridge in half an hour alert barking in the backyard, which is the only thing we use it for. Do something for the environment and your customers, make the cartridges refillable! I want to use this collar and I want to recommend it to other dog owners, but can't with the state being

The collar is great but the refills don’t last
The collar instantly stopped my dog from barking and annoying the neighbors while gone. However he isn’t left alone for more than 2 hours most days and I have to put in a new refill EVERYDAY!!
The collar started beeping and wouldn’t spray bc it was “empty”. So I took it out and held my phone’s flashlight against the refill and it still had half the spray left. I had to put a new one in for it to work again.
Anyway great collar... maybe not worth buying the refills every week. I still recommend it to everyone though.

Cartridge ran out too fast....
I just bought this collar and it worked great for about 1 day. The next day when he wore it there was no correction. I was concerned that we had not charged it properly (I never thought the cartridge had run out). I kept at it with the charging issue until I decided to look at the cartridge. I was already empty. I came online to see how many sprays to expect and saw all these reviews. What a rip off! These should be refillable. The collar is way too expensive for the cartridges not to be refillable!
