Easy to pour box with no spill spout.Fill a clean, empty litter box with 3-4 inches with Double Duty Clumping Litter. Litter will form rock-solid clumps on contact with urine and eliminates odors. Remove clumps and solid waste daily to keep the rest of litter fresh. Add more Double Duty Clumping Litter to replace what you have scooped out and maintain a depth of 3-4 inches. New formulas
I have 8 cats and I usually uses 1 1/2 boxes of the 40# box. My recent purchase was very surprising. I am up with the new quality as well as look feel and smell. These new formulas are not compatible to the original. The litter is more like gravel, the clumps falls apart and the deodorizer is less effective. I am truly upset with the change, please go back to the original formulas.

I recently switched back to arm and hammer double duty thinking it was just as good as the more expensive litter I had been using and was insanely disappointed. Literally created a cloud of dust each use and and a dusty film covered the litter box and then was tracked all over the floor… little dusty cat prints on all the floors and even on the bed when she jumped on. I don’t ever remember a&h being like this and was sooooo disappointed. For being only $5 cheaper than Dr. Elsey, it’s definitely not worth it and I will not be buying again.

Odor control yes tracking HORRIBLE
The odor control and clean up with this liter I will say is wonderful! It keeps the smell non existent and cleaning is great BUT the tracking for this liter is the worst I’ve EVER SEEN. If you don’t want to vacuum every second of your life don’t get this liter. It tracks on EVERYTHING. We have a cat mat outside our liter boxes and it didn’t help at all and with other liter it’s never been a problem. This liter tracked into every single room of our home. Cat bed, couch, bed, back of the dogs, counters you name it this liter is on it!

My cats seem to be good with this litter. They are not fussy and the amount is a good bang for your buck. Doesn’t smell bad.

It gets the job done
Not much different than the other varieties, and not much better at eliminating odors. However it does clump in a more scoopable way.

This litter masks smell pretty well which is helpful for people with multiple cats, but unfortunately it is still pretty expensive.

The -only- cat litter for my 3 kitties!
We have 3 cats, so litter is a non-stop chore. I had always bought A&H in the past but tried afew different newer types when I took over litter duty. Just as in the past, nothing else scooped as nicely, or smelled better. In fact, I even tried on numerous occasions, the “Multi cat” version of this same litter and realized my mistake instantly as the odours were way more and when scooping, it would crumble and spread all over the box, meaning I needed to change the entire box instead of scooping and refilling in between major box changes.
The cost of litter is atrocious so I want to get as long out of a box as possible.
With the A&H double cat litter formula, paired with their litter box powder, I can scoop the three boxes every other day with no odours, and a box lasts me almost a month for 3 cats & boxes.
There may be prettier/more environmental options out there, but there is no other option as good as this for duration and odour control. Period.

Great stuff
I really like this kitty litter. It lasts three times as long as the other brand it smells great keeps my place smelling fresh all day long. You cannot even tell that I own a cat will always buy this brand.
