Habitat and Care
Kept best in singles, Caiques require a minimum cage size of 24x24x30. They also need regular exercise outside of the cage and will do best having a play stand and a rotation of enrichment toys both inside and outside of their habitat. Intermediate level of care bird, caiques require daily engagement outside of their cage to thrive. Daily spot cleaning of the cage, water and food dishes is required. Weekly deep cleaning is recommended. Rotation of enrichment toys/materials specific to ciaques is recommended. Ciaques also enjoy being held and will benefit from interactions outside the cage in a safe environment.
