As an intermediate level pet, ferrets can be very social with their human companion and will thrive when they are allowed daily enrichment play outside their habitat. Never leave ferrets unsupervised as their curious nature leads them to potential injury or loss. Ferrets need specialized diets and fresh food and water daily. A rotation of ferret safe enrichment toys is recommended both inside and outside of their habitat. Their cage should be spot cleaned each day and deep cleaned each week.
