Ball pythons will eat appropriate sized rodents, pinky mice-large rats. Frozen rodents should be thawed/warmed and be fed 1-2 times per week.

Ball pythons require an underbelly heat source of 90-94 degrees to digest their food. 80-90 degrees for cage temperature. In a 10-40 gallon tank, depending on size, the substrate can vary from aspen to mulch. Should have a hide house the snake can fit snuggly in. A water dish which allows the snake to submerge its entire body is preferable.
