Feeding Instructions

Offer each pinkie mouse only after it is fully thawed, and start with small quantities, adjusting to your pet's health and appetite.

  • Sizing: Choose prey no wider than the widest part of your pet's body to avoid choking or regurgitation.
  • Offering: Grasp the thawed rodent by the tail with feeding tongs and gently wiggle it to simulate movement and encourage a feeding response.
  • Release: Let go of the rodent once your pet has taken it, and remove any uneaten food.
  • Variety: For lizards and amphibians, offer frozen rodents as part of a varied diet rather than the only food.

Habitat and Care

Habitat and Care

Store and prepare your frozen pinkie mice with the same care you would give any raw meat product.

  • Storage: Keep frozen in your freezer until you are ready to feed to maintain quality and prevent spoilage.
  • Thawing: Thaw completely in the refrigerator, or for faster thawing place the sealed bag in a disposable cup of warm water.
  • Do Not Microwave: Microwaving can cause the bag to leak and thaws the rodent unevenly.
  • Handling: Use feeding tongs and practice proper hygiene; wash your hands and any surfaces after contact.
