PET SUPERMARKET VIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

BECOMING A VIP MEMBER

1. There is no purchase necessary to become a Pet Supermarket VIP (“VIP”) member. Void where prohibited.

2. To enroll, a member must be 18 years of age or older and be a resident of one of the fifty (50) United States (including D.C.).

3. To enroll, a phone number will need to be provided, as it will be the primary identifier for each VIP member’s account. Also, an email address is required for communication to members of the VIP program regarding program details, information, awards and benefits.

4. Only one VIP account per person. ‘Household’ accounts of multiple members of same home or family are not permitted.

5. It is the VIP member’s responsibility to advise Pet Supermarket of any changes to his/her personal information by updating his/her personal profile at a Pet Supermarket store. VIP members may also provide updated information to Customer Service by email at customerservice@petsupermarket.com.

EARNING VIP POINTS

6. At this time, points can be earned at store locations only. To receive the benefits of membership, VIP members must provide their membership identifier at checkout. Once the VIP account is identified and attached to the transaction, the member’s VIP account will be credited one (1) point per dollar ($1) spent excluding taxes and after discounts or coupons on in-stock eligible merchandise at Pet Supermarket. See full list of eligible products or exclusions in "Eligible Products & Services." The calculated amount will not include taxes; however, any other discounts will be applied to the transaction.  

7. The VIP system will award points to the nearest dollar after $0.50, rounding up based on the individual line item price. For example, your VIP account will earn 2 points, if the purchase price, before applicable taxes, is $1.50. Items ending in a price below $0.50 will round down to the nearest dollar. Items priced below $0.50 earn 0 points. If a coupon is used, points are awarded based on the after-coupon price.

8. When a VIP member accumulates 100 points, he/she will receive a $5 credit/award toward the next purchase at participating Pet Supermarket stores and their points will reset to 0. The issuance of every $5 credit/award will be communicated to the member by email. No credits/awards of any kind are issued until the VIP member reaches 100 points.

9. The $5 credit/award will be credited to the VIP member’s account, and will be available the next calendar day for redemption, upon system availability. The $5 Reward expires 6 months after it is achieved and posted in the system.

10. The points will reset to 0 when each $5 award is added to the account.

11. Trial sizes and free bags received as part of other promotions or contests are not eligible to earn VIP points.

12. VIP points are deemed to have no cash value until such time as the VIP member accumulates 100 points and earns a $5 credit/award. Any $5 credit/award can only be redeemed/used towards eligible purchases in Pet Supermarket stores. Cash or other gift cards will not be issued.

13. VIP Points expire 6 months after they are earned.

ELIGIBLE PRODUCTS & SERVICES

14. VIP Points and credits/awards cannot be earned or redeemed on state, federal or local taxes, Grooming Tails' grooming services, gift cards, license fees, adoption fees, any pet care services provided by third parties at Pet Supermarket stores (such as VIP Pet Care), and on other non-sellable items such as gratuities paid to groomers and bathers, or promotional gift cards or vouchers. Trial sizes and free bags received as part of other promotions or contests are not VIP points eligible. The list of ineligible items or services may be modified at any time without notice.

REDEMPTION OF VIP AWARDS

15. Pet Supermarket may require photo identification to confirm a VIP member’s identity when a VIP member redeems a VIP credit/award. The photo ID presented must be a current and valid identification, such as a driver’s license. Pet Supermarket reserves the right to reject any form of identification if it believes is not valid or sufficient. The registered VIP account holder must be present to redeem a credit/award so that we can protect the integrity of the VIP member’s points and credit/awards balances.

16. When VIP credits/awards are redeemed, the VIP member must use the entire amount of a $5 credit/award. A partial amount of a $5 credit/award cannot be used. If a VIP member chooses to redeem a $5 credit/award for a transaction under $5, the remaining value of that $5 credit/award will be forfeited. For example, for a transaction valued at $3.15 (pre-tax/net of discounts), a VIP member can choose to use a $5 VIP credit/award to pay, but the remaining $1.85 of the $5 credit/award will be forfeited. This same formula applies to transactions where more than one $5 credit/award is used (e.g., three $5 credits/awards applied to an eligible transaction of $13 will result in the remaining $2 of the last $5 credit/award being forfeited. Other restrictions apply when redeeming with another Pet Supermarket coupon. See associate for details.

17. VIP members can earn and redeem multiple awards of $5. For example, a VIP member who earned 300 points will receive 3 awards of $5 each, and will have an award balance of $15. The same VIP member can redeem all 3 awards ($15) on one transaction.

18. A VIP account that has not had a transaction for 6 months from the date VIP points or credits/awards were last issued will have its point balance and any account credit/awards purged, and both balances will be reset to zero.

19. All points earned on purchases subsequently returned will be deducted from your total points balance on your VIP account.

VIP ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

20. VIP program points are non-transferable. VIP member points and other benefits cannot be combined with VIP points or other benefits accrued by another VIP member.

21. VIP Points will not be applied retroactively to any purchases made prior to the date the member signed up for the VIP program.

22. VIP member accounts may be merged into one single account only with the express written permission of the relinquishing VIP account holder given to Pet Supermarket’s Customer Service at customerservice@petsupermarket.com. Pet Supermarket reserves the right to reject any merged account request.

23. In order to request VIP points for missed transactions, a VIP member will need to provide a copy of his or her receipt as proof of purchase no more than 5 business days after the date of the transaction to Pet Supermarket’s Customer Service at customerservice@petsupermarket.com. Pet Supermarket reserves the right to reject any request for VIP points for missed transactions.

EARNING FREE BAGS OF PET FOOD ON THE VIP FREQUENT BUYER PROGRAM

24. As a VIP member, if you buy 10 bags of the same brand and size of dry dog or cat food (as outlined in the size chart below), you will qualify to get an 11th bag of the same brand and size for free. For a list of qualifying brands, click here.

25. All 10 bags must be of the same brand and bag size category to qualify for a free 11th bag.

26. Trial sizes and free bags received as part of other promotions or contests are not eligible and do not count toward the VIP Frequent Buyer program.

27. Purchases of the 10 bags must be made within a consecutive 12 month period to qualify for the 11th free bag.

28. Purchases older than 12 months will automatically be disqualified and not count toward the free 11th bag.

29. Dog and cat food purchases may not be combined.

 

REDEMPTION OF VIP FREQUENT BUYER PROGRAM FREE BAG

30. The free 11th bag must also be of the same brand and bag size category as the previous 10 bags.

31. The free 11th bag must be redeemed within 60 days of the purchase of the 10th eligible bag, or the free 11th bag will expire and be purged from the VIP account. You will then have start over again and purchase 10 new eligible bags before getting a chance to earn the 11th free one.

32. You can redeem your 11th free bag award at any Pet Supermarket store.

33. All returned purchases will be deducted from your total accrual of bags and/or cases on your VIP account.

EARNING FREE CASES OF CANNED FOOD ON THE VIP FREQUENT BUYER PROGRAM

34. As a VIP member, if you buy 10 cases of the same brand and size of canned wet dog or cat food (as outlined in the size chart below), you will qualify to an 11th case of the same brand and size for free. The cases must be same brand, sub-brand, and size to qualify for the 11th free case. For a list of qualifying brands, click here.

35. The 11th free case will be of the same brand, sub-brand and size as the previous 10 cases purchased toward the free 11th case.

36. Trial sizes and free cans/cases received as part of other promotions or contests are not eligible and do not count toward the VIP Frequent Buyer program.

37. Purchases of the 10 cases must be made within a consecutive 12 month period to qualify for the 11th free case.

38. Purchases older than 12 months will automatically be disqualified and not count toward the free 11th case.

39. Dog and cat food purchases may not be combined. REDEMPTION OF VIP FREQUENT BUYER PROGRAM FREE CASE

40. The free 11th case must also be of the same brand and can size category as the previous 10 cases.

41. The free 11th case must be redeemed within 60 days from the date of the purchase of the 10th eligible case, or the free 11th case will expire and be purged from the VIP account. You will then have start over again and purchase 10 new eligible cases before getting a chance to earn the 11th free one.

42. You can redeem your 11th free case award at any Pet Supermarket store.

43. All returned purchases will be deducted from your total accrual of cases on your VIP account.

VIP BAG & CAN SIZE CHART

VIP DOG WASH PROGRAM/REDEMPTION

45. If you buy 6 Dog Washes, you will get the 7th one for free.

46. The free 7th Dog Wash must be redeemed (at participating Pet Supermarket stores with dog wash stations) within 60 days from the date of the purchase of the 6th dog wash, or it will expire and be purged from the VIP account. You will then have start over again and purchase 6 new dog washes before getting a chance to earn the 7th free one.

47. Purchases of the 6 dog washes must be made within a consecutive 12 month period to qualify for the 7th free dog wash.

48. Purchases older than 12 months will automatically be disqualified and not count toward the free 7th dog wash.

SENIORS DAY DISCOUNT

49. The Senior’s day discounts occurs the last Tuesday of every calendar month. The discount is 10% off your purchase that applies to regular priced merchandise and promotional offers on Seniors & Military Day.

50. Must be at least 55 years of age, be a valid VIP member and be present during the transaction to qualify for the discount.

51. Excludes adoption fees, gift cards, grooming services and licence fees. Not combinable with other coupons.

52. Pet Supermarket has the right to change the date of Seniors Day without notice.

MILITARY DAY DISCOUNT

53. The Military day discounts occurs the last Tuesday of every calendar month. The discount is 10% off your purchase that applies to regular priced merchandise and promotional offers on Seniors &Military Day. Must have valid military ID, be a valid VIP member and be present during the transaction to qualify for the discount.

54. Excludes adoption fees, gift cards, grooming services and licence fees. Not combinable with other coupons.

55. Pet Supermarket has the right to change the date of Military Day without notice.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

56. All sales tax is the responsibility of the VIP member.

57. Should you have any questions regarding the VIP Rewards Program, please contact customer service at 1-866-434-1990.

58. The VIP program requires that Pet Supermarket provide its participating suppliers with the member’s name, address, phone number, proof of purchase and eligibility for the member’s free product and by enrollment in the VIP program, members are consenting to us providing this information.

59. Pet Supermarket reserves the right to change, alter or discontinue this VIP program in whole or in part at any time without notice. The terms and conditions of the VIP program, as may be changed from time to time, will be posted on https://www.petsupermarket.com/pet-supermarket-vip-program-terms-and-conditions/ and a member’s continued use of the VIP program will constitute the member’s acceptance of these terms and conditions.

60. Pet Supermarket reserves the right to refuse to honor any VIP points, credits/awards, and/or other benefits under this VIP member program if it believes there is fraudulent or dishonest behavior being conducted.
