How Rescues and Shelters Make an Impact

HUMANE SOCIETY OF GREATER MIAMI

Meet Frito!

Frito came to us in bad shape, with a fractured mouth and unbalanced movements, likely from being hit by a vehicle. After giving him the care he needed, our adoption team found him the perfect match with a loving family. Thanks to donations like yours, Frito found his happy ending!

PET ALLIANCE OF GREATER ORLANDO

Meet Granola!

After being picked up by a municipal shelter with severe wounds to her rear legs, Granola was placed in a foster home and received treatment for deep scrapes, cuts and a broken toe. Despite her injuries, she maintained a sweet and silly personality and was eventually adopted into her "furever" home. Our shelter works hard to give every animal a chance at a happy and healthy life.

PLANNED PETHOOD OF GEORGIA

Meet Jack!

Jack was rescued as a kitten but later developed medical issues when it was found that one of his kidneys did not form properly at birth. Despite the lack of options for organ transplants in cats, we found a home for Jack with a loving mom, Lauren, who understood his condition due to having undergone a kidney transplant herself. Thanks to donations, Jack received the medical care he needed to live a wonderful life with Lauren.

MISSION K9 SHELTER IN TEXAS

Meet Scout!

Scout is a retired Mine Detection Dog who was rescued by Mission K9 Rescue along with eight other MDDs in March 2022. All the dogs tested positive for Heartworm and had other health issues due to poor working conditions. Scout's health issues include hip and prostate problems, adding to the cost of their treatment, which Mission K9 is committed to covering to ensure that Scout and the other dogs receive the care they need to rehabilitate them and find them loving homes.
