Description
Description
Product Description
GloFish fluorescent fish come in a variety of species and colors of tropical fish. From bettas and danios to tetras, barbs and even sharks - all are brilliant under white LEDs and their color dazzles under blue LEDs! Available in several bright colors. Sharks are best kept with only one per tank. They get along when they're small, but become more territorial as adults. Average life span is around 5 years. Max size is nearly 6" but they rarely grow this large in home aquariums.
Feeding Instructions
Sharks are mostly bottom-dwellers, so a target food of wafers or sinking pellets is best. Frozen foods (once they're fully thawed) and freeze-dried foods can be offered as treats. Feed a small amount once per day. A fish's stomach is about the same size as it's eye, so they don't need much.Habitat and Care
Habitat and Care
Keep in an apropriately sized aquarium. Recommended tank size of at least 20 gallons. Provide substrate and structure such as decorations and live or plastic plants for hiding places. Check the filter and water temperature to ensure that the filter is moving water, and temperature is aproximately 72-78. About 25% of the water should be changed every other week. Test strips can be used to monitor water quality. Beneficial filtration bacteria starter cultures should be added at set up, and new fish should only be added when the tank is fully cycled.Product Description
