Ghost shrimp are small crustaceans that do not require a lot of space. For a small group a minimum of 5 gallons is recommended. One of the more hardy species of shrimp, ghost shrimp require stable water conditions to thrive. They should only be added to a well established aquarium with décor such as driftwood and live plants. Ghost shrimp prefer cooler water and regular 25% water changes using a vacuum.
