Crawfish can be interesting animals to keep and can also be fed to larger predatory fish. As an opportunistic predator, crawfish should not be housed with other aquarium animals but can be housed together when given enough space long term.

  • Multiple crawfish aquarium size = 15 gallons + excess tubes and hiding spaces
  • Only add crawfish to established aquariums
  • Multiple crawfish should only be kept together short term unless given ample space in a large aquarium
  • 25% of the aquarium water should be vacuumed and replaced each week
  • Use conditioner for tap water
