Clown pleacostomus are a great choice for an algae eater for smaller aquariums. One of the more shy species, they will come out at night to help clean up the algae and forage on décor surfaces. Gentle in nature, this species is a good fit for many community aquariums. Clown plecostmus usually will not consume healthy live plants and can be recommended for planted aquariums to help control algae.

  • Life expectancy is 10 to 12 years.
  • Max size is 3.5 inches
