Product Description
Tetra Vacation Tropical Feeding Block is a slow-release feeding block full of quality nutrition designed to feed your tropical fish for up to 14 days. The 100% plaster-free, gel-based block will not dissolve and when used as directed, allowing you to leave it in the aquarium even after regular feeding is resumed. It is designed to be used when you’re away from your tank for up to 2 weeks, allowing fish to eat from the block as they become hungry. This block won’t disintegrate on its own – food is released when fish nibble on the food. For particularly large, hungry fish, such as large cichlids or loaches, you can add another feeding block to the recommended amounts – see packaging for details. For fish used to eating at the surface, try breaking off a bit of the gel block before adding the block to your aquarium. Once the block has settled, release the remaining portion directly over the block so your fish can locate the temporary food source. Since 1951, Tetra has developed the world’s most comprehensive body of fish food knowledge, and fishkeeping enthusiasts have looked to the brand for products and solutions that add ease and beauty to their home. Whether you're an experienced hobbyist or just starting out, Tetra has everything you need – from a large variety of quality fish food and innovative equipment to test kits and decor. FEEDS FISH WHILE YOU’RE AWAY: Slow-release gel block is designed to nourish your tropical fish for up to 14 days. QUALITY NUTRITON: Won’t dissolve on its own – food is released when fish nibble on the block. PROCARE FORMULA: Helps support fish’s immune system for optimal health and long life. 100% PLASTER FREE: Gel block won’t wreak havoc on your water quality. USAGE: Just drop in your tank to feed tropical fish for up to 14 days – see product label for complete instructions.Product Description

Killed my fish in 12 hours
We did a test run before going on vacation and it killed my sons fish within 12 hours. They water immediately turned cloudy, but I suggested that we let the filter run and clear it up. Wrong decision.

Awful Product
I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone. I bought this for a 5 day vacation and I came home to find my fish dead and encased in a goo that the feeder was also covered in. It didn’t look like the feeder had been used at all. It’s very upsetting to come home from vacation and find your pet dead from the thing that was supposed to keep them alive.

IT KILLED MY FISH, DO NOT USE
I left for a long weekend vacation (4 days), and left this product to feed my betta fish. When I arrived home the tank water was turned into a gross yellowish brown color, and I decided to clean it. My fish was not acting right, and in the midst of cleaning the tank, looked over and found my fish dead. I wish I could give this zero stars. Do not use this product.

Used several times with good results
I've used this several times and have had none of the issues others mention. Dosing is pretty important, and I always underfeed slightly because I know the fish will be fine if they run out a little early. My pleco always goes straight for it and gorges itself, but everybody seems to be happy and healthy when I come back. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish the discs came in smaller amounts. I literally use only a quarter of a disc, so the rest goes to waste. Still, an easy, worry-free way to make sure they're fed while I'm gone.

Killed our fish
Came home after a short vacation to a dead fish floating in black water. The kids were traumatized.

Don't buy this product.
Used this feeding block in our tank whilst away for a week. We returned to find all of our tetras had died. Sadly over the last day we have also lost our two corydoras catfish - who were always so happy in the tank. We have had aquariums for over 40 years.
