The food you chose will vary depending on the type of fish you have. For any fish, a well-balanced diet is important so you may find yourself rotating between different types to find the proper diet. Here are the main food types and fish they're recommended for:

Flakes & Pellets

Flakes are ideal for top and middle dwelling fish.

Recommended for Black/White Skirt Tetras, Hatchet fish, Gouramis, Angelfish, Guppies

Pellets are ideal for large or bottom dwelling fish. We carry pellets that are labeled floating or sinking.

Recommended for: Goldfish, Cichlids, Oscars, Catfish, Crabs, Shrimp

A rewarding treat not only f or fish, but for you as well as it is very entertaining to watch. Freeze dried is usually a dried worm or bug formed in the shape of a cube. Simply take one cube, reach inside the fish tank and stick it to the front glass, then watch your fish enjoy!

Think of frozen the same way you think of frozen raw food. Frozen food retains its natural nutrients. We carry simple ingredients like, frozen shrimp, brine, shrimp and blood worms. They can help enhance the colors in fish.

Bug Diet

Bugs are packed with protein and fish love them. Many of our Devoted Pet Lovers have more than one animal. So not only is a bug good for a treat you can share bugs with reptiles, amphibians and such.

Live (Feeder) Fish

The most common feeder fish are goldfish/comets, guppies and shrimp. Depending on the size of the fish, 2-3 feeders per fish along with a staple diet of pellets and/or flakes will satisfy your large fish. Recommended for: Oscars, Cichlids.
