Zebra finches Can be kept singly, in pairs or in colonies, when given enough space. Zebra finches enjoy flying in their cage and will do best in a minimum of a 20x24 inch cage. These birds are Low maintenance and great for birders at a beginner experience level. Daily spot cleaning of the cage, water and food dishes is required. Deep cleaning is recommended weekly. Rotation of enrichment toys and materials specific to finches is recommended. Finches enjoy taking baths and it is recommended to offer a fresh bowl of water large enough to bath in daily.
