Habitat and Care
Rabbits require a larger space to thrive and require a minimum of a 48x18 habitat for one animal. Multiple animals can be kept together in larger habitats. Larger animal playpens are recommended for daily playtime outside of the primary habitat. As a beginner to intermediate care requirement animal, rabbits can make rewarding pets. Their inquisitive behaviors and active nature do require a more hands on approach to ensure they have ample space and time for daily play. It is through these interactions that they build bonds with their pet parents. Many rabbits will learn to use a litter box during their supervised playtime outside of the primary habitat. Rabbits should be offered a variety of category specific toys and treats for regular enrichment. Fresh water, food and hay should need to be offered daily. Nails need to be trimmed on a regular cycle every few weeks. Rabbit cages should be spot cleaned daily and deep cleaned once a week.
