TOO SMALL
TOO SMALL FOR ANY FISH!! Maybe snails or tiny shrimp, but it's nit enough room for a fish to even fish....

Awful disappointment
Based on a review by a website that endorsed this product as being one of the best tanks for betta fish I bought it for my rescued bettas. Unfortunately the tank was way too small for them and the water flow was way too strong. I turned down the strength of the motor of the filter without much luck in reducing the water flow. Baffling the water flow was impossible due to the limited space in each section. After about a month one of the sections started to show a crack, which was present on delivery and eventually caused the entire unit to overflow while simultaneously having that one section low in water for the betta. My conscience wouldn’t let me keep the bettas in this unit longer than a month or so. I cannot recommend this product at all not just for the happiness of the bettas (which is paramount!! Bettas were miserable in this tank) — but I cannot recommend this product for bettas because you will be buying a replacement unit for your unhappy fish if they even make it and don’t die within a couple months. Save your money for a bigger tank — at the very least a 2.5 gallon worth of free swimming space (not a unit that claims to be 2.5 but is full of filter product or something) OR ideally get a 5 gallon SHALLOW tank for your betta. After keeping over 10 bettas in the past two years, trust the other reviews that advocate for 5 gallon or larger tanks. Th eyre easier to maintain, cost less in the long run, and you’ll have more time with your lovely betta.

Happy with tank after 3 weeks
I've only had the tank up and running for 3 weeks. I have done one water change and it was a breeze. The tank is quiet until it gets 1-2 cups low. Then the waterfall trickle gets loud enough to let you know it needs water. It did take a littel adjusting of the pump to get it quiet. I recommend running it at the lowest setting.

This is my second purchace of this tank. I have bettas and they do very well. If you need a filter replacement Pet Supermarket carries them, get theAqueon filter size M in a box of 3. They measure appro x. 4 X 5 in. Pet Supermarket is the only place I have been able to find them.

Not recommended for betta
This tank is not recommended for betas. It is way too small. Do your research before you buy this tank if you want a happy beta.
