gentle and effective
I bought the Furminator deshedding tool today from a pet supply store near me and wish I'd bought it two months ago when we adopted our dog. He's a shelter dog--possibly some sort of Border Collie, shepherd, Husky, something else mix--and he can shed a lot, particularly as the season is changing from spring to summer or if he's stressed. His coat is medium length, with an undercoat. The medium long hair tool worked great. It was more effective by far than any other brushes I've tried and it was easier on my dog's skin. I had a bale of hair at the end. (Tried to upload a photo but it wouldn't save)

Wish I bought it sooner!
I’ve been putting off buying a Furminator since I got my pup, and I really should have done it sooner. I have a young corgi, and he’s been shedding a lot recently. After deshedding, his coat is so much smoother and has a beautiful shine.

Best deshedding tool ever!
I normally don't write reviews but the undercoat deshedding brush shocked me! I brushed my dog two days ago with a regular wire brush and thought I had gotten most of his fur but I was wrong! Here is a picture of literally 5 minutes of brushing!

Amazing amount of fur came off, and pets like it
I bought this today for my smallish lab, who at 18 mo just started shedding and suddenly it seemed all I was doing was sweeping the floors. An amazing amount of fur came off of that dog. The tool holds it well so that it doesn't waft off into the room. She also stopped scratching herself. I then decided to try one cat (gently). A ton of fur came off, so I had a go at the other cat. None of the animals minded it. A great buy. I'd rather spend a few minutes brushing the animals than sweep the whole house nonstop.

OMG it actually works better than I thought!
Just bought this tool today and I'm shocked how much hair came off my short hair Lab!! It was almost half a dog's worth of hair. I was skeptical at first, why in the world would I spend so much on a hair brush for my dog?! But I'm a believer now! It's so worth buying it the one time and having a solid quality tool like this. My dog enjoyed the brushing too and now she's so soft!

A great tool in dog grooming and home cleanliness.
I used this right away on my corgi and it remove significantly more loose undercoat hair then a standard wired brush, minimizing her shedding. I noticed after brushing her with the FURminator that I did not have to vacuum my living space at the end of the day like I did everyday before the brush.

It works!
So glad we got this for our corgi. It removes the loose fur very well and seems to trim the fur as well. After each brushing session, he looks neater and slimmer.

Works great!!
I got the medium size for long haired dogs for my 25 lb. long-haired dachshund and it works really well to remove the extra hair from his undercoat . I usually brush him with a regular dog brush first and then with the Furminator - What a difference this has made!
