Good to the last…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fur baby Chihuahua is pretty picky so it's hard to get him to want to eat his food at times. He prefers to eat different food and flavors every day and play with his food if he doesn't like it. When I added the Merrick grain free wet food to his bowl, he actually seemed curious and excited! He smelled it and gobbled his food up and then went sniffing around to see if there was anymore. He comes running eagerly to eat now and is a happy dog! I love the ingredients they use and how they are fully transparent with what they add. Compared to other types of wet food, you can tell the quality in the chunks of beef each can has. Highly recommend!

Mighty appealing, however...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog (42 lb labradoodle) went nutso at the sight and smell of this wet food. We served her a half can the first day, mixed with her usual brand of kibble. She happily devoured every bit AND licked out her bowl! The following day, we served the remaining half can, again with kibble. On the third day, however, she had extremely loose stools. She even had an accident in the house (which never happens). Now, we don’t know if the ingredients didn’t agree with her tummy (think possible allergy), or if the food was just too rich. I could tell that a) she loved it, and b) she was satisfied afterwards. My best guess is the food was too rich for her.

Dogs love this food

The color and smell were good and while it was chopped it did not look like mush. My dogs loved the Backcountry Beef
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always purchased Merrick dog food when I can. I find the ingredients to be top quality and my dogs love it. The Backcountry Beef Dog food was no exception. This is pate dog food and usually my dogs prefer stews, but they ate it right up. I was surprised since they usually turn their noses up at pate, but not this time!

Chihuahua Loved It
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog does not usually eat wet food, we stick to Merrick BackCountry Raw Infused Great Plains Red Recipe + Grains with Beef, Lamb & Rabbit Freeze-Dried & Merrick BackCountry Chicken-Free Raw Infused Pacific Catch Recipe + Grains with Salmon, Whitefish & Trout Freeze-Dried. However, we tried the beef and it was loved by the dog. The food had no chunks of anything just mush of food. It smelled better than the chicken, however, my dog experienced very wet poop that was hard to pick up. In addition, my dog got really stinky farts. My dog was also not able to distinguish when she was done pooping, we had to wipe her butt each time. She was super excited to eat the food, but not for our family on a normal basis.

Awesome canned dog food
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the merrick Backcountry grain free beef canned wet food I split it between two meals for both of my dogs they love the fact that the gravy was easy to coat all the dry food that I normally fix for them and that the chunks of stew meat were able to be broken down for my little dog and my bigger dog was able to just have chunks of wet dog food and it was nice I saw vegetables and the stew and I thought it was great that they included it for dogs nutrition they definitely like this flavor I like the easy open tops and my dogs definitely like the fact that it was chicken I felt it was really quality ingredients #ad #freesample i loved the beef smell not overwhelmed and my dogs seemed to like this one the most

Merrick Beef Flavor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both of my dogs liked the beef flavor of the Merrick Backcountry food. I first tried Merrick on a trip to Texas a few years ago because my older dog wasn’t eating his prescription food and I needed a high quality wet food to mix into his prescription diet. He loved the food so much that he gained a pound over the winter! I appreciate that this brand contains real meat instead of by-products. The dogs love it too!

Three finicky dogs love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three little dogs who don't always feel like eating what I give them, but when I gave them the Beef Backcountry Dog Food they gobbled it down. Two of my dogs are under 5 pounds and are seniors with few or no teeth so this food is perfect for them. It's got everything I would give them when I make food for them from scratch. I trust Merrick dog food in dry form but I've never tried the wet food before. My dogs love it so it's a must for us.

My German Shorthair loves it!

I usually make a homemade topper of meats and fresh vegetables for his food but he definitely prefers his Merrick! I’m sold as a customer now and will definitely continue to use this food for my dog. We mix wet and dry foods and this, while not gravy laden, has a nice soft texture which makes it easy to mix into his kibble. I’m happy we found such a great product my dog and I can agree on! #freesample
