Awesome grain free dog food
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Red and White Irish setter loved this food. He was very excited at just the smell and ate every drop. He keeps going over to the bag and just sits and watches it. There were no stomach issues after eating and he seems to actually have more energy since starting to eat this. We were given a #freesample to try and will be purchasing more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now I can’t speak for all picky eaters, but I’ve had to return numerous of foods from various brands because my guy simply refuses to eat it. The salmon and sweet potato recipe was an instant hit. No need to add extra treat, broth, cheese, or peanut butter to entice him. He also has skin issues and I’ve noticed a slight improvement in his coat.

Picky eater loves it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] #freesample. I decided to try the Merrick Grain Free Salmon + Sweet Potato recipe Grain-Free Adult dry dogfood for our two girls Chloe and Angel. Angel is not a picky eater (she'll eat anything that she can) so I wasn't worried about her but Chloe is not only a nervous Nellie but has been known to turn her nose up at dogfood that doesn't meet her "standards". Well, this dog food definitely does. She digs in and finishes before Angel most days now so I am impressed. Only issue I have is the price is on the high side and the closest store that carries it is over 30 miles away so I would have to either buy on-line or take more trips into "town"

My dog unfortunately did not enjoy this food, and has refused her bowl. She usually likes all things salmon flavored, and we slow introduced this by mixing in with her usual kibble. She would pick the pieces of this product out at drop them on the floor.
I really wanted to love this product, as the ingredients look to be of a higher quality, and easier to find in stores than her usual food. Based on her reaction, I am rating this lower .

Only one flaw
We have 4 dogs ranging from 45 to 125 pounds. We go through a lot of dog food. We use the salmon & sweet potato grain free recipe. There is no BHA, BHT or propylene glycol ( preservatives that may be carcinogenic) in the list of ingredients. We’re giving 4 stars for lack of honesty & transparency by their listening “ natural flavor” instead of saying what it is. And PLEASE don’t hide behind “trade secret “. Your competitors have already figured out what that natural flavor is. Why not tell us, the consumer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a picky dog who doesn't realize he's a dog because he prefers human food, it took some persuading to get him to try it. He doesn't like to eat dog food of any kid but after getting him to eat one piece of kibble he ran back to his bowl and at it all up. The next day he did it again. Very surprised as he's never ran to his bowl unless it has fresh made foods in it.

He Loves This Stuff

Like with people, you have to be very careful what to feed your dog when it comes to allergies. My aussie mix is allegric to chicken, so naturally, I try to avoid any and all chichen-type ingredients. Merrick Grain Free Salmon+Sweet Potato is the perfect kibble option for this situation, and the lil guy loves it (I also love that the first five ingredients listed are fish and potatoes)! Personally, I use the kibble as a base that is then topped with chicken-free wet food (I rotate between Merrick's wet foods to keep my dog from getting board). On this food, my dog is energetic, people alw ays complement his coat, and he loves eating his breakfast!

I like that it is made with ingredients that are high quality and not filled with cheap fillers like some dog food are. My dog has allergies so he is very sensitive to certain meats like chicken and turkey. This salmon and sweet potato does not bother him at all!
