Works great but strong scent
We have used Advanced Stain and Odor Eliminator for cats for many years, because it always worked great to get out stains from our cats vomiting. However, since we got the newly shaped gallon jug, the scent is way too strong! It was perfect before to get out stains and the scent was mild but effective. Please, Please go back to the milder scent!! It's obvious many other customers also feel the scent is overpowering. Just imagine, the cats do not want to smell that strong scent from the cleaner as they lay back on those same areas of the cat tree, couch or carpet where they had previously vomited. Also, the scent is lingering in the room and it did not used to do that. It is a very noticeable difference. This would've been a 5 star rating prior to the scent change.

HORRIBLE "fragrance" and did not remove stain
As others have said product's "fragrance" is HORRENDOUSLY strong and much worse than pet odor! In addition, urine stain on rug was not visibly reduced.

The "fragrance" is not "light" it's utterly awful!
I have used this two times, the first time in our finished basement, and the smell is so overpowering, I can barely use the room anymore. I thought it might just be that there's less ventilation, so I chalked it up to that. It's been a few months now, and it's still unbearable. I used it in a closet 3 days ago, thinking that since it has better ventilation it'd dissipate. There's an open window next to it that's been open for 3 days. It's staggering how strong it still smells. If you live with cats, and love them, as I'm sure most people willing to clean up their messes do, then subjecting them to this smell is truly unkind. Am I wrong or did this product used to be almost completely without scent? What gives?!!

Product smell lingers
As others have mentioned, the product smell is so overwhelming, its almost worse than the pet smell! It makes my eyes burn! It has been over a week since we used it, following directions to the letter, and we still cannot sleep in our bedroom. We have windows open and fans blowing 24/7. Who knows if the pet smell is gone, or just masked by this chemical smell.

Overwhelming smell
I do not know how well this product works since its smell is overwhelming. Is the cat urine smell gone? I don't know. What I do know is that three days later the chemical smell from use of this product is terrible.

Do not purchase
This product literally stinks. I can't get the smell out. I just may pull out my rug. It gives me migraines, I can't sleep in the room ( bedroom) and smell won't come out after rug shampooing with machine twice. I am so upset. I purchased this product a few years ago and liked it. This current formula is disaster.

why does it have to be scented
I bought the product in the past, but intend not to buy it again. It works ok, but why does it have to be scented? Not everyone likes to have smells imposed on them. That smell stays in the carpet for weeks, having the wind blow through the apartment does not help

This stuff bleached my carpets! DO NOT BUY.
I've been using their regular formula for at least 15 years, with no problem. I bought this version at the pet store recently, and used it in two different bedrooms and my hallway. It left circular BLEACH stains everywhere I used it (I have gray berber carpeting). I am so angry - would LOVE a solution that doesn't involve spending thousands of dollars to have my entire 2nd floor re-carpeted.
